Launched with the goal of creating a network of IT specialists with various technical backgrounds, Connect.IT is an Endava-powered series of tech events that nurtures knowledge sharing across our locations.

Started 3 years ago, as an out of office social and tech event for Endavans, Connect.IT has grown to encompass a community of almost 700 tech specialists.

Every few months, they get together in an informal setting to hold subject matter presentations, propose solutions to technical challenges and exchange ideas. So far, we’ve held about 15 meet-ups around topics like clean code, continuous delivery, Scala, mobile practices, and even smart home technologies. The diversity in ideas and approaches is ensured by the variety of speakers, coming from different companies and backgrounds. 

One of the most popular editions tackled the topic of Agile and Scrum practices and brought together more than 100 participants. Hot topics like Driving out Waste in Scrum or Early Signs of Scrum Team Fiasco, raised a lot of discussions and debates that created a perfect environment for knowledge and experience sharing. 

Endava is committed to invest further in this initiative and we plan to have regular events, covering topics around applications management, digital services, frontend development, security and more.
