Describe your professional path in Endava.
Although I enjoyed being a Developer for more than eight years, I was also interested in understanding the background and the business side of every project I worked on. I’ve always shown interest in direct conversations with clients, and I’ve truly enjoyed helping to organise people and processes. Before I joined Endava 6 years ago, I thought I was too technical for a Manager or a Business Analyst position.
Luckily, one of my managers noticed my interest and ability to see the bigger picture while I was a Developer. He started gradually giving me Scrum Master tasks and I became more involved in client interactions. Soon he suggested I should move to the Project Management discipline, which was not an easy decision for me. After striving to reach excellence in development, this meant for me to start again in a different direction, to learn new things and to prove myself all over again. Nevertheless, I was grateful for having the chance to progress my career in the direction which felt like the best fit.
Tell us about what drives you at Endava.
People. The value of the team. The dynamics in my role. The chance and possibility for personal and professional growth, including the improvement of my soft skills. The opportunity to work with smart and passionate people. Knowledge sharing. Parties! The way Endava treats its employees. All these things make me proud when I talk about my job, and they represent the fuel for my daily drive. I’m proud of being a part of the Risk Management practice and having a chance to meet great Endavans from different locations. I also made some friends for life in this company. I’m still sharing my most important achievements with my first Endava team; even though our project ended five years ago.

Anyone who knows me would say: her passion is fashion. However, besides that, teaching is my passion. One of my dreams was to become a college professor. After graduating from the Faculty of Mathematics, I chose industry over science, but I compensated for it by working as a part-time IT teacher for a few years. My most important passion is my family and my three years old daughter for whom I am trying to set an example of how you can find happiness and work-life balance.

I enjoy being a teacher and I like having the opportunity of sharing my experiences via "Pass it on" sessions in Endava. I love it so much that I had over 20 sessions in the last two years, including internal and external conferences. All of these helped me become both a better speaker and listener. The last one is a very important component in an efficient communication not only with colleagues, but clients as well.
