Content & Sales Enablement Manager

Responsibilities

The Content & Sales Enablement Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of content that supports sales, from helping build credibility through success stories to blogs that create interest and awareness.

The person is responsible for managing a small in-house team across social media, content and a new area, sales enablement (covering sales tools, such as presentations). The team is based in Germany, US and Romania.  The content produced is mainly to sales (and to a lesser extent, delivery teams) across various geographies and industry verticals.

 

Some travel will be required at some point.

 

Day-to-day duties:

  • Planning the content strategy to support the business and help it hit annual sales targets.
  • Leading a team of 4 to execute on activity, including blogs, social media posts, ebooks, video scripts, emails, landing pages, etc. Execution includes writing and publishing content on internal and external platforms.
  • Focus on the customer advocacy programme, from capturing soundbites (testimonials), new business news releases, references and success stories (written and video, co-branded and anonymised). Responsible for the processes to drive both volume and value of soundbites, success stories, etc working with numerous stakeholders
  • Managing editorial and publishing schedules across the blog and social media, etc.
  • Working will colleagues in Go-to-market to plan the best content to support demand generation and brand campaigns.
  • Working with an in-house Design team to manage design of content assets.
  • Working with the Website team to ensure content is published.
  • Recommending and managing the tools to ensure our content is effectively used internally and externally.
  • Tracking the performance of content against agreed KPIs and looking for ways to improve results.
  • Identifying areas to test and launch new content initiatives.

 

Qualifications and Experience

 7+ years of previous experience is required.

Delivering successful content – particularly in setting up, driving and promoting customer advocacy programmes (testimonials, soundbites, success stories) and delivering content across various buying stages.

Leading a team – able to lead and motivate a global team to deliver the best content_._ 

Proofing like a pro – can spot a typo or a space where it shouldn’t be and ensures high standards in everything they do.

Great at communicating internally – can write and speak effectively with colleagues across the globe.

Great at communicating externally – can write in a straightforward and compelling way that is on-brand (the Content Manager will need to write some content, such as blogs).

Focused on results – can interpret numbers and provide accurate forecasting, trends and results that show the impact of our content on marketing results.

Collaboration – we work with many stakeholders who keep us on our toes, so the Content Manager must be confident in building relationships with them, negotiating and using influencing powers to get them on-side.

Planning and organisation – there’s often lots of projects to be delivered at once so the person will need to keep on top of multiple projects and timescales.

Creative thinking – last but not least, for content to be effective it needs to get cut-through, so we’re looking for someone who is up for suggesting new and different ways of doing things.

 

We have a native German speaker who manages translations along with access to native speakers for Dutch and Danish translations so language skills are not essential. Most content is produced in-house, although we do work with external media partners and are looking to onboard a Media Relations agency (managed by the Brand Manager).

 

Educational Background:

  • University graduate with a previous focus on communications or marketing-related degree.
