Principal Data Lead

Responsibilities

A GCP Data Lead is responsible for Endava’s GCP Data Engineering & Delivery. This role is to work closely with the highly technical Google engineering team on strategic transformation projects for some of the largest companies in the world, helping with extracting value from our client’s data and modernizing their legacy on-premises data platforms. The role will be split between delivery - working across multiple projects providing thought-leadership, assisting our engineering teams, and speaking to our client’s data team, as well as pre-sales – helping with writing proposals, responding to RFPs, or unveiling new opportunities within the accounts.

In your role you will be expected to be able to give presentations and talks to both small and large groups. Your role will also include writing blogs and short articles to help promote the team within customer engagements, and external.

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous pre-sales experience is essential for this role
  • Expert knowledge of cloud computing and Google Cloud Platform (or other CSP)
  • Ability to work across multiple projects within the same account
  • Proven experience designing, building, and operating large-scale enterprise data solutions
  • Understanding of digital transformation & customer data platforms
  • Experience with Cloud Computing storage and Big Data systems – BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Google Spanner, Dataproc, Dataflow, Composer, Bigtable, PubSub
  • Working knowledge of migration techniques for legacy systems such as Teradata, Oracle
  • GCP certification in Data or ML/AI is a plus
  • Experience with data governance, lineage, quality, cataloging, etc.
  • Multi-cloud experience is a plus
  • Ability to translate and present complex technological concepts to CxO audience
  • Experience with performing technical demos & running workshops
  • Comfortable with Public Speaking / presenting to small and large audiences
  • Excellent communication skills
