Senior Business Development Manager– Telecommunications



We are seeking an experienced Senior New Business Development & Management Professional with a proven track record of excellence and over-achievement in driving profitable growth and transformation within the Telecoms Software markets to join our highly successful global Telco team.

The candidate must have a demonstrable track record of originating and closing offshore/nearshore IT Services engagements with the gravitas to engage at C-level across major telecommunications organizations

Candidate must understand the concepts and key messages behind Agile and Digital Services and have sold full life cycle of software development (Consulting, Development, Testing, Support).

Candidates must be able to demonstrate a record of overachieving sales targets.

German Speaker

Main Focus

  • Major focus on closing ‘Big Ticket’ deals
  • Proven record of exceeding sales/revenue targets, resulting in consistent above target performance within sales career at personal and managerial levels.
  • Specialties: Telecommunication including Tier 1 mobile operators.
  • Team Player able to motivate and drive individuals and teams to consistently over- achieve and grow.
  • Identification and acquisition of new clients and projects in the sector
  • Self-Starter with end-to-end ownership of the sales process from acquisition to completion
  • Relationship management, maintenance, and use of your existing network
  • Individual bidding as well as coordination and participation in contract negotiations
  • Internal coordination of the support and other teams, also abroad
  • Use of marketing tools to obtain new orders
  • Participation ,moderation and management of external events



Qualifications and Experience

  • 10 years + of professional sales experience at a senior level
  • Experience in sales of offshore or nearshore / IT Services
  • Self -Starter with structured work ethic
  • Results orientated & commercially focused 


  • Fluent German Speaker
  • Multi - year experience in ‘Technical’ sales with a thorough understanding of IT services, principles and practices
  • Understands and demonstrates a systematic approach to problem solving
  • Communicates fluently and effectively in business writing and present information to both technical and non-technical audiences, German and English
  • Able to plan, schedule, and monitor own work within deadlines
  • Maintains awareness of developing technologies and takes some responsibility for personal development
  • Possess technical and commercial background, persistence, and persuasiveness needed to succeed in a sales role
  • Strong experience of methods and techniques for preparing and presenting proposals, business cases, and statements of work

      Highly Desirable:

  • Experience of working with MNOs, MVNOs
  • Experience of Cloud,5g, IOT
