Senior Java Developer

Responsibilities

  • Take part in all application development lifecycle phases.
  • Be part of a self-organizing Scrum team, actively participating in all team activities.
  • Develop functionalities according to defined acceptance criteria.
  • Open to learn and apply new technologies if required.
  • Highly proactive in technical solution discussions.
  • Work within the Scrum Team to deliver the sprint scope in time and with the expected quality.
  • Mentor Junior and mid-level developers

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience using Java
  • Good knowledge of Spring Framework Ecosystem
  • Java Web (Spring MVC, JSF/Servlets, one JavaScript web framework)
  • Application servers (Tomcat/Jetty, WebLogic/WebSphere/JBoss)
  • Web Services (REST services, Spring REST Template, JSON, 3rd party APIs)
  • JMS (Spring JMS Template, ActiveMQ/RabbitMQ)
  • Experience using at least one cloud provider (AWS, Azure, etc)
  • Database (Oracle/MySQL/MS SQL, MongoDB, Cassandra)
  • Continuous Delivery (Git, Maven, Jenkins/Bamboo/TeamCity, Nexus, Docker, SonarQube)
  • Design principles (code smells, refactoring, SOLID, Design Patterns, Enterprise Integration Patterns, architectural principles and styles)
  • Excellent English Skills

 

Additional Information

  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Experience in designing and implementing REST web services
  • Extensive experience with software engineering good practices (testing, code review, continuous delivery, design documentation)
