Agile Project Manager - Insurance

Project Delivery Management
 
 

Responsibilities

We are looking to strengthen our team in the vertical of Insurance with agile project managers who will lead, coach and delivery first class projects with our delivery teams. Project Managers have the following responsibilities:

  • The management of projects, typically (but not exclusively) involving the development and implementation of software solutions to meet identified business needs, acquiring and utilizing the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality.  
  • The flexible adoption and adaptation of project management methodologies based on the context of the project and selecting appropriately from adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches to predictive (plan-driven) approaches.
  • The planning and implementation of organisation-wide processes and procedures for the risk management related to the success or integrity of the business, especially those arising from the use of information technology. 
  • The creation of new and potentially disruptive approaches to performing business activities in order to create business opportunities. 
  • The identification and implementation of improvements to business operations, services and models.  
  • The assessment of the costs and potential benefits of the new approaches.  

The systematic identification, analysis, management, monitoring and improvement of stakeholder relationships, considering domain specific constraints in the vertical of banking and capital markets, in order to target and improve mutually beneficial outcomes

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experienced in managing medium-size, or complex projects from initiation to operations within the insurance markets digital change. Projects might include policy administration, underwriting and pricing transformation, claims, finance and billing, data and general systems change. Other financial services experience will also be considered.
  • Experience in forming and leading teams. Has the ability to empower teams to deliver results, and can coach the team where applicable in Agile delivery, or Planned Iterative proved practices.
  • Sound understanding of Agile delivery frameworks, and tools with experience of Scrum, or Kanban applied in software delivery engagements.
  • A good understanding of and passion for insurance with a curiousness and desire to learn, challenge and influence.
  • Understands the principles of insurance and has detailed experience in one or more areas of insurance delivery, though related financial services experience will also be considered.
  • Has proven project management, leadership and consulting skills to moderate and drive decisions in complex environments in the Insurance domain.
