Responsibilities

• Owner of the Poland secondary ledger for local reporting and compliance purposes
• Ensure by additional postings that the secondary ledgers are compliant with local legislation
• Timely and accurate filing of the Financial Statements
• Timely and accurate filing of all taxes including CIT, VAT, SAFT etc. with the assistance of consultants and tax department
• Accurately calculating Transfer Pricing recharges to group companies
• Managing and overseeing an accurate Copyrights procedure on a monthly basis
• Managing and overseeing the R&D claim in Poland in conjunction with consultants and/or tax department
• Ensure SOX controls related to the area of responsibility in accounting, payroll and reporting are performed in accordance with prescribed SOX requirements
• Oversee the payroll function
• Work closely with the Shared Services Center in Romania and other Finance functions across Endava
• Maintain relations with banks, accountants, advisors and local authorities
• Support local management on an as needed basis
• Oversee the fixed assets of the Poland entity
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the Oracle application and the financial processes and procedures (e.g. SAFT)
• Assist Group Finance with ad-hoc tasks, projects, and reporting
• Manage local internal and external audits

 

Qualifications and Experience

• >7 years of experience, preferably within an accounting firm or an international company
• Extensive knowledge of accounting under both IFRS and local GAAP
• Knowledge of Polish tax, incentives and payroll desired but not essential
• Experience of Oracle or another ERP package preferred
• A strong team player, capable of working co-operatively with others to achieve common goals
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong proficiency in English (spoken and written) Excellent IT skills with knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook
• Strong analytical and information acquisition skills
• Maturity, professionalism, and high level of discretion
• Strong interpersonal and management skills to lead and motivate the team of professionals, as well as to efficiently advice to and support all local business stakeholders
• Strong planning and organization skills, time management techniques
