Business Analyst - Insurance

Responsibilities

  • We are looking to strengthen our team in the vertical of Insurance with business analysts who will play a leading role in working with our insurance clients and delivering across a range of project types including both bespoke builds and large platform transformations. Key responsibilities are:
    • Establishing and building relationship with the client stakeholders through demonstrating a clear understanding of the insurance domain
    • Gathering, analyzing and working with product owners to challenge business requirements 
    • Providing solution directions and recommendations based on the client’s needs, environment specifics and industry trends
    • Creating and keeping up to date product backlog (creating user stories and acceptance criteria from the product vision and epics)
    • Working closely with engineering team and ensuring that user stories are implemented in line with the product vision and timelines
    • Understanding the market reasoning behind given requirements and ensuring that development team deliver it according to the business goals and feature specifics 
    • Closely observing Insurance industry trends in the area of application design and wider insurance software and platform capabilities and proposing new solutions to clients

 

Qualifications and Experience

    • 5+ years experience in the Insurance industry
    • Previous experience in delivering significant software solutions to insurers to enable business transformation and change
    • Worked as a BA on Digital change initiatives with experience in a number of the following areas: Digital Customer Experience, Mobile Applications, Policy administration, Claims or Finance and Billing projects, Underwriting and Pricing, Data, Automation or CRM
    • Experience of working in a regulated environment
    • Digital Product Management experience in financial services firms with a focus on both product strategy and delivery
