Senior Business Analyst

Responsibilities

Works as part of a team to:

  • determine customers' needs and desires by specifying the research needed to obtain market information
  • create business cases for various products or functionalities
  • bring new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs
  • prepare return-on-investment analyses
  • establish time schedules with engineering and manufacturing
  • identify user personas for the new products or functionalities
  • exposure to investments/capital market field is a plus

Perform analysis to define requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution

Works with the Product Management to define the goals of the delivery

Writes stories, especially in BDD format

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviews professional publications; establishes personal networks; participates in professional societies

Keen on delivering value and innovation through the product line

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

 

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Has an Agile mindset for the product delivery approach
  • Stakeholder management experience
  • Familiar with ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) tools; experience using JIRA and Confluence is an advantage
  • Ability to be meticulous on complex requirements and documenting them while having an eye on dependencies on the overall system
  • Data driven approach together with strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Can conduct workshops/brainstorming sessions to collate requirements
  • Experience working with distributed teams and clients
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • 6+ years active experience in IT
  • 4+ years active experience as Business Analyst in structured teams
  • Insurance business domain knowledge is an advantage
  • Very good English language skills
