Lead Unity Game Developer

Responsibilities

  • Proactively collaborate with teammates and communicate with project stakeholders to ensure project efforts proceed efficiently and with predictability
  • Work closely with your team to implement features and support those features through tooling as needed
  • Support & assist in content creation pipelines, tool development, and workflow improvements
  • Build and maintain core engine components, pipelines, and tools on multiple hardware platforms
  • Write high-quality, well-documented software for exhibits and digital products
  • A knack for writing clean, readable, and easily maintainable code
  • Other ad-hoc responsibilities as requested

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • 7+ Years of experience as a lead and senior software engineer with 3+ years of experience in Unity and other related technologies.
  • Team Leadership experience
  • Extensive knowledge of Unity tools and plugins/packages
  • Excellent knowledge of C#
  • Extensive knowledge of development for multiple platforms (Android, iOS & WebGL preferred).
  • Knowledge and understanding of browser-based plugins to support VR and the ability to architect software with a distributed framework is a plus.
  • Ability to write readable and maintainable code
  • Extensive knowledge of using Git
  • Extensive debugging knowledge
  • Knowledge of development for multiple platforms (Android & iOS preferred)
  • At least one released project based on the Unity engine
  • Knowledge of Algebra, Physics engines, graphics (OpenGL, Vulkan, DirectX, WebGL).
  • Strong emphasis on the fundamentals of 3D game design and development; — Experience designing system architectures, wireframes, and prototypes;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge in development for PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch
  • Experience profiling and optimizing the game and render performance (GPU and CPU)
  • Good understanding of gaming algorithm/ architecture
  • Experience in releasing on different stores like GooglePlay, AppStore, Steam, Amazon Stores
  • Experienced in usage of 3D math, matrices, vectors, quaternions
  • Maintenance and optimization of existing work processes
  • Proven development in Javascript, C++, Objective-C / Swift or Java
  • A passion for bringing groundbreaking experiences to market
  • Passion for making and playing innovative games
  • Strong understanding of gaming algorithm/ architecture
  • University degree or training in the field of Computer Science, Computer Engineering or comparable qualification
