Senior Data Analyst




  • Understands, creates or documents business, functional and data flows and provide them to the delivery team;
  • Understands the system interfaces and interactions with other components of the platform; aligns its requirements with the outer systems;
  • Produce Design Specs ready to be consumed by developers;
  • Clarify requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis;
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal parties to analyze information needs for functional design and deliver the artefacts as needed: Functional Specification Document, Epics and/or user stories, Use Cases;
  • Understanding of the Logical Data Models (or “LDM”), Physical Data Models (or “PDM”) preferable;
  • Take the low level requirements attributes and map these to the LDM/PDM;
  • Define reference data and any changes required in enterprise reference data;
  • Raise physical data model changes required to design and build changes;
  • Work closely with Business SMEs and Technology Team/Technical Architects/EnterpriseArchitects/Solution Architects/Functional Design Team leads;
  • Attend Sprint Planning, Design Review, Showcase & Retrospectives;
  • Ensure Acceptance Criteria is achieved and Product Owner or Business sign-off.



Qualifications and Experience

Experience / Exposure:

  • Business knowledge of Payment systems and/or financial applications – nice to have;
  • Sound understanding and experience of the Agile software development lifecycle;
  • Strong analytical skills, able to provide support to solve business or production problems;
  • Experience with different requirements tracking systems like JIRA;
  • Experience with Gihub - nice to have;
  • Working experience with different RDMS or DW (any of Oracle, MS SQL Server, others) and SQL;
  • PL/SQL language to analyze data, facilitate the inspection, extraction, transformation and produce SQL queries;
  • Experience of working with message based applications – nice to have;
  • Fluent English (written/verbal);
  • Excellent communication skills, able to articulate technical and non-technical issues;
  • Highly collaborative, responsive, assertive and drives a continuous improvement ethos in all interactions;
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment;
  • Experience of working with mixed teams between the customer and provider;
  • Experience of working in a multiple geographical sites setup: remote collaboration with colleagues/partners/customer representatives;
  • Ability to work in virtual teams and in matrixed organizations;
  •  Passion about sharing knowledge and best practices.
