Boban

Creative Thinker. Extrovert. Cycling Enthusiast.

Boban had already been working as a Developer for 7 years, when he started his career with us as an AM Engineer, becoming one of the early joiners of the discipline in Skopje.

Working at Endava empowered him to grow as a professional quickly. An excellent knowledge sharing system and a strong organizational culture helped him fully unfold his potential and promptly take his career to the next level.

Keep reading to discover his story in depth.

What can you tell us about your career path within Endava?

When I started my career with Endava I was still new to Applications Management; however this was one of the best things that could have happened to me.

As an AM Engineer, you have to know everything in order to solve something. You need to be familiar with the whole technology system, have to understand how to interact with the client and how to fix bugs without causing any issues.

I worked mostly with the .Net technology stack for a prominent client from the Media Marketing sector; but was also able to get in touch with Sitecore projects.

My daily work consists of following processes and ITIL standards in order to deliver the best solution to any issue or improvement our client demands. The team I work in is acting like a bridge between the users and application by offering support with any issues that might occur, but they are also constantly aiming to develop new features.

Besides the regular .Net technology stack for web development and Sitecore, lately I have been involved in some projects as a C# Windows Developer.

What do you think drives and guides you in your career?

I believe that there is no straight answer to this question. I know that learning new things and facing new challenges is one of the main driversin my career; however, that is only one aspect that drives my excitement at work.

I have been very fortunate to be guided by amazing mentors, who led me towards becoming the best version of myself so far.

Being Senior Application Management (AM) Engineer inevitably comes with a lot of challenges and responsibility. What was the most important lesson you learned over these years?

Hmm… Every lesson we learn is equally important. I do believe that we need to be careful with our promises and that we need to be open and honest all the time. We all make mistakes because we are no robots, but what is more important is what we learn from them.

What can you tell us about your life outside of work?

I love hanging out and meeting new people, but I also enjoy spending quality time with my family, my two wonderful nieces and my closest friends. Besides this, I have a passion for riding bikes and hiking.

If you were to start work at Endava tomorrow, what would be that one piece of advice you would give to yourself?

Do not be afraid to take new challenges, learn as much as you can from the people around you, always try to Be More and most importantly, Be Yourself.
