Artiom

Delivery Manager. Team Player. Artist.

During the last thirteen years, Artiom built his way from Junior Test Engineer to Discipline Lead and now to Delivery Manager. His spirit flourishes, as he knows this is only the beginning of a road where success is ultimately found at the core of a strong team, led by someone who connects passion to purpose. Let’s find out what lays beneath his sense of fulfilment in the interview below!

Let’s navigate through your journey in Endava. What can you tell us about your career path?

I joined Endava in 2007 when there were just a few hundred employees. This gave me the chance to witness the growth of many talented professionals in Endava and to find inspiration in their success stories.

I started as a junior Test Engineer, and I must admit that, even now, I remember my very first project, the skilful team I was part of, and all the great mentors that guided us.

Throughout the years, I worked hard and embraced new roles as part of my career growth, from regular Test Engineer to Test Lead\Manager, Discipline Lead, and Delivery Lead. When I realised that Endava could offer me the freedom of choosing where to work -city, country, continent- I knew that I could set and pursue higher career goals.

When I became Interim Head of Testing and Testing Discipline Lead, I felt I could do more in terms of operations, I can help and inspire others to grow and be successful.

I then took on the role of Delivery Manager. The delivery manager is the person who’s in charge of the team’s health and happiness while ensuring that the agile and technical practices are applied and that the teams have all the corresponding support to deliver value and passion.
Being at the same time, a coach, a communicator, and a facilitator, and getting daily in touch with various colleagues across the organisation is fantastic. The most beautiful part is that you are exposed to very different experiences that can only enrich you with exciting lessons.

What drives you at Endava?

In Endava, new opportunities come every day, week, or year, and even more so, here you have all the support needed to prepare yourself or others for any challenge.

What drives me about my job is learning new things, travelling, meeting new people, and, most importantly, leading a team to success. I feel highly motivated by mentoring a team, helping its members grow by acknowledging the full potential of their creative ideas to complete any challenging project.

How would your colleagues describe you in one sentence?

I think they would describe me as a person that can be trusted and is always willing to offer support and give advice.

What can you tell us about your life outside of work?

In high school, I learnt national and classical dance, as I was an art school student. Afterwards, while working at Endava, during the weekends, I followed the courses of the Political School. The experiences were filled with workshops at the Council of Europe, the European Court of Human Rights, the European Parliament, and even at the Public Speaking School.

Tell us how your passions have contributed to your day to day job.

I always wanted to be an active contributor to the overall IT community in Moldova. I see myself as an enthusiastic promoter of the IT sector in discussions with my friends, relatives, and people from other business domains. I even think that the IT sector can positively impact the overall economic development of our country.

I am very proud to have contributed to the growth of Endava and of the IT community by being involved in collaborations with our local universities, and by arranging various technical meetups, workshops for the IT students and university professors.

What advice would you give yourself if you were to start working at Endava today?

Don’t be afraid to take on any challenge!
