Optimising Workflows In Software Delivery

Brasov, Romania | 20 November 2019

We live in interesting times for tech and business.  Many companies are seeking increased productivity within their software-development teams, faster release of digital products and services and improved customer experiences. As a consequence, optimising the workflows is a challenge that is top-of-mind for many IT specialists and organisations.

The Tech Flow conference, on its first edition in Brasov, will provide answers and insights during presentations held by key people who drive innovation and digital transformation. The event will take you through theoretical and practical examples, live coding and networking sessions where you can informally connect and share questions, knowledge and perspectives.

ABOUT GEORGE: George is a passionate Agilista with extensive experience in consulting blue-chip clients in the design and effective implementation of Large Scale Distributed Agile. Maximising agile benefits in complex or mixed environments onsite / nearshore / offshore – units of up to 50 teams having 500+ business and IT people working on the same backlog. • ANDREI STOICA

    TEST CONSULTANT, ENDAVA

REAL-TIME REPORTING OF AUTOMATED TEST CASES IN AZURE DEVOPS

A classic approach for test automation is to manually create and run test cases, select some for automation and then actually implement them in code. This approach, although it has its advantages, is very time-consuming. In the fast-paced world of software development, we don't have the time to create and run the test cases manually. What if there was another way to approach this basic pattern in testing? What if our test automation solution would do all of that for us and even more? This session will contain both theoretical and practical examples of how to achieve this.

ABOUT ANDREI: He is a strong advocate of quality in any project and values it more over quantity. Andrei is an excellent test automation engineer and enjoys finding the solution for any technical problem. His primary focus is on providing fast and reliable test automation frameworks, mainly written in Java and JavaScript. He is also a fan of CI, Agile and DevOps ways of working and developing.

He has experience in creating both UI testing framework with Selenium, Protractor and Appium; and also API testing frameworks with RestAssured. His current role as a Test Automation Lead in Endava surely recommends him as one of the most technical persons from the Testing discipline.

  • LAURENTIU SPILCA

    DEVELOPMENT CONSULTANT, ENDAVA

ARCHITECTURAL ANTI-PATTERNS WHEN DELIVERING A SOFTWARE ECOSYSTEM WITH KUBERNETES

There are several factors to take into consideration when working on a software solution: which languages to use, the process, how to deliver, and how all of these have to match with the general architecture. Laurentiu Spilca discusses the links between a clean architecture and the development in an environment orchestrated with Kubernetes. Along the way, Laurentiu explores and proves several anti-patterns and good practices, using hands-on examples.

ABOUT LAURENTIU: He is a dedicated trainer and team lead in Endava, where he oversees the development of a project in the financial market of the European Nordic countries. He has over nine years of experience. Previously, he was a software developer building one of the biggest ERP solutions with worldwide installations. Laurentiu believes it’s important to not only deliver high-quality software but also share knowledge and help others to up-skill, which has driven him to design and teach courses related to Java technologies and deliver presentations and workshops. Outside of work, Laurentiu is passionate about travelling and scuba diving.
